Responsibilities
Safely operate pickup trucks with plows, snow removal machines, and hand tools such as shovels to clear snow and ice from roads, parking areas, and access points
Apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials to improve road traction and safety
Monitor changing weather and road conditions to determine snow removal priorities
Inspect and maintain equipment before, during, and after use to ensure proper operation
Work independently or with a team under direction of Shawneeland Sanitary District Manager
Respond promptly to on-call notifications during snow or ice events, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualification
Required
Must possess a valid Driver's License and have held it for at least 2 years
Willingness to work on-call shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Dependable, punctual, and able to respond on short notice during inclement weather
Comfortable working outdoors in cold and demanding winter conditions
Entry-level, no prior experience operating plow equipment trucks, skid steers, tractors, or similar snow removal equipment necessary
