The Press Technician Apprentice will operate press lines, inspect part dimensions, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a clean work area while participating in a formal apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

Operate press lines: presses, servo feeds, coil dereelers and straighteners

Inspect and record part dimensions per quality plan and customer specifications

Troubleshoot causes when parts do not conform to customer specifications

Unload and package finished parts for movement

Remove and clear scrap from press and work area as needed

Report part counts and labor accurately and in a timely manner

Operate state of the art press lines with presses from 45 to 350 tons

Produce quality parts in a timely and efficient manner

Learn how to determine root cause of part or tool malfunction

Communicate quality and production issues to Manufacturing Manager

Maintain a clean work area

Participate in a formal apprenticeship program
