They are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join their overnight team in the Emergency/Critical Care department, responsible for caring for a variety of cases and assisting in patient assessments and treatments.

Responsibilities
Caring for a variety of cases- Emergency and Specialty Medicine
Must be able to prioritize patient hourly treatments and delegate tasks
Triage critical patients, recognize changes in patient status and report to the doctor, educate/update owners on patient status, and discharge patients from the hospital
Assessing hospitalized patients needs and communicating details to the DVM overseeing the case
Inpatient treatments and nursing care throughout the shift
Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, CRI's
Partnering with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, and, free fluid
Placement and maintenance of nasogastric tube, nasal cannula, central venous catheters
Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment
Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events
Surgical assisting for minor (non-specialty) procedures
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 2 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting is required
Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required
Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment
Passion for providing the highest quality in patient care
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required
Ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
Preferred
1 year of ECC experience is preferred
RVT or VTS preferred but not required
