They are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Plant Engineering to lead facility operations, engineering, maintenance, and capital improvement across their hospital campus, ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Lead plant operations, preventive maintenance, and in-house renovations across all hospital facilities and grounds
Develop and implement short- and long-term engineering goals, policies, and cost-effective strategies
Manage department budgets and optimize resource allocation
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA)
Drive sustainability and lead execution of the hospital’s 2030 decarbonization roadmap
Support capital development and modernization projects
Foster a high-performance team culture focused on safety, quality, and innovation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare engineering and plant operations
Strong knowledge of hospital systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Project management experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Experience in energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and environmental sustainability
CHFM certification
