Responsibilities

Teach and mentor students in hands on labs and lectures focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) under 55 pounds
Guide students through real world tasks such as aircraft modifications, component identification, payload and battery maintenance, software updates, test flights, and professional recordkeeping

Qualification

FAA Remote Pilot CertificateSUAS maintenance experienceElectronic troubleshootingMechanical troubleshootingSoftware troubleshootingSafety inspections knowledgeTeaching experienceTechnical instruction experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
FAA Remote Pilot Certificate required
Proven hands-on experience with sUAS maintenance, repair, and operation
Skilled in electronic, mechanical, and software troubleshooting for small unmanned aircraft
Knowledge of safety inspections, checklists, and regulatory compliance

Preferred

Master's degree
Teaching or technical instruction experience

Paid sick leave in accordance with the NJ Paid Sick Leave Law
[ABP (Alternate Benefit Program](https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pension-active-abp.shtml) is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. There are seven State-authorized ABP investment carriers. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
