Pharmacy Technician - Oncology
Cleveland Clinic is a leading healthcare organization committed to transforming patient experiences. They are seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Oncology to prepare and deliver medications, maintain inventory, and assist in training pharmacy caregivers within their Main Campus facility.

Responsibilities
Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding
Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections
Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training
Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks
Assist with the training of pharmacy caregivers and students
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National HealthCareer Association (NHA)
Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months
Preferred
Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
6 months of hospital experience
