Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority is dedicated to enriching the lives of visitors and residents through destination development and venue management. The Facility Maintenance Technician will assist in maintenance and repair tasks at the Bojangles Entertainment Complex, ensuring all setups meet client expectations and maintaining equipment related to heating and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

May assist in leading maintenance and repair projects at the Bojangles Entertainment Complex

Works with team to ensure all setup is done to meet client and department expectations

Teardown shows and cleans up areas for next scheduled event

Maintains all equipment in facility that is part of the heating and cooling systems

Ensures proper light set up prior to all events

Coordinates with vendors on facility floor to ensure accuracy of detailed floor plans

Assist Facility Maintenance team members with painting, carpentry, dry wall repair, etc

On-call one week per month, as needed, to support event operations and/or facility needs

May perform other duties as required

Consistently deliver the best in customer service

Model and be accountable ensuring that customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences

Required

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines preferred, including but not limited to: Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Ice Technician, Carpentry/Painting, Mechanical Trades (doors, locks, alarm systems, etc.)

Ability to maintain adherence to quality, safety, and the timely completion of assigned projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to foster and work well within a team environment

Strong commitment to customer service and always maintaining a professional atmosphere

Ability to anticipate customer needs, builds positive relationships with customers and vendors, goes the extra mile to satisfy and exceed customer needs, treats all customers and vendors with highest degree of respect and courtesy and delivers exceptional service to internal and external customers

A High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of HVAC schooling or related experience or training is required

Level 2 technicians should be able to operate effectively with limited supervision

Areas of expertise for the Venue Facility Maintenance programs may include, but are not limited to the following: Electrical – Works with electrical system from 480 volts up to 600 volts, Plumbing Knowledge of commercial fixtures and all accessories, HVAC (boilers and chillers), Knowledge of Metasys building automation system, Ice Technician, Carpentry/Painting, Mechanical Trades (doors, locks, alarm systems, etc.)

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
