$25/hr - $25/hrC.H. Guenther & Son is a company focused on maintaining its facility's infrastructure to ensure smooth operations. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Food Production
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on facility equipment and systems including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, and production machinery
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency
Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations to support uninterrupted production schedules
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory
Adhere to health and safety and GMP guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Assist in the implementation of facility improvement projects and upgrades
Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives where possible
Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role in a food manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed
Ability to operate a computer to support and record documentation in our computer maintenance management system
Preferred
Technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, or related fields
