NetSuite is looking for a Principal Software Developer to join their Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking organization, focusing on DDoS and Network Security. In this role, you will architect and enhance solutions to ensure the reliability and availability of OCI’s global cloud services, collaborating across teams and driving technical direction.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of distributed systems that enhance the security and resiliency of OCI’s networking services
Drive the development of L4 and L7 protection services—including DDoS mitigation and Web Application Firewall (WAF)—to protect against a wide array of network and application-layer threats
Analyze trends in network architecture and the threat landscape to inform system design and enhancements
Drive improvements in system scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with partners across product, security, operations, and engineering to deliver high-visibility solutions
Define, document, and share architectural approaches, technical best practices, and operational processes
Provide mentorship to engineers and help elevate technical standards across the organization
Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement across all aspects of the product lifecycle

Required

6 to 10+ years of experience in software development
Experience in designing and developing distributed systems
Proficiency in L4 and L7 protection services, including DDoS mitigation and Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Strong analytical skills to analyze trends in network architecture and the threat landscape
Experience in improving system scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, security, operations, and engineering
Experience in defining, documenting, and sharing architectural approaches and technical best practices
Mentorship experience to elevate technical standards across the organization
Ability to foster a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement
