Maintenance Technician III - 2nd & Weekend Shift

Foot Locker is hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our Camp Hill, PA Distribution Center Team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing support in general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire service center, ensuring all equipment is operational and performing extensive maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, broken mac valves, etc…) as well as analyze and repair basic system/material handling equipment malfunctions
Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately
Perform extensive maintenance procedures including conducting daily preventative maintenance inspections
Properly follows critical Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment
Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures; use required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses, Arc flash suits, respirators, and fall protection)
Support Junior Technicians through basic facility/grounds maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing, yard work, lightbulb replacement, drywall repair, HVAC checks, cleaning, and floor repairs
Support Junior Technicians through troubleshooting and repair of basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, broken mac valves, etc…) as well as analyze and repair basic system/material handling equipment malfunctions
Operate and maintain the multi-shifter
Maintain, test and service industrial batteries
Operate and certify lift trucks, maintenance equipment (scissor lift and genie boom lift) grounds equipment and company vehicles
Accurately complete departmental paperwork
Operate Computer Maintenance Management Systems
Set-up and repair shelving/racking and other types of material handling storage structures
Ability to work without close supervision and pay close attention to detail
Regular and punctual attendance and ability to work overtime as required

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of five year's maintenance/mechanical/repair experience or vocational diploma in related area(s) or 2 years previous Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience with 5 years previous maintenance experience in a relevant field
Basic understanding of general troubleshooting and advanced understanding of general building maintenance procedures and techniques
Understanding of routine repairs and related safety guidelines in the areas of: AC/DC Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems and Welding
Advance knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment and OSHA safety procedures / use of Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses, Arc flash suits, respirators, and fall protection)
A working understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers/Material Handling Equipment systems, and PC Controls with minimal assistance
Minimum of one (1) year experience with automation control or conveyor equipment or equivalent training
Ability to operate a wide variety of motorized vehicles
Ability to read, write, conduct business related mathematics, analyze data, and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System as required
