Landscape Technician - FT

Goodwill Industries of North Florida is dedicated to providing job training and placement services. They are seeking a Landscape Technician who will work under a crew leader's guidance to maintain landscaped grounds to a specified high standard, including tasks such as weed removal and debris cleanup.

Responsibilities

Identification and removal of plants determined to be weeds in their present locations

Removal of any debris, litter, and trash in and around shrub beds

Removal of dead leaves, flowers and other materials, and trimming as instructed

Add additional mulch and removing old mulch from beds

Assist other staff with other landscaping responsibilities as needed

Driver's license REQUIRED

Must be able to work flexible hours

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Must be able to perform duties that require a great deal of bending

Able to use edger, leaf blower and lawn mower to maintain grounds

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Knowledge of or willingness to learn, use of tools, equipment and supplies relative to landscaping duties
