5+ years expElias IT Consulting Group is seeking a technical Manufacturing Field Service Technician for a partner client. The role involves traveling across the U.S.A to resolve equipment issues at customer sites while also participating in various business areas.

Responsibilities
Travel to customers' site to setup, repair equipment, and conduct service and training related tasks
Troubleshoot equipment, identify and resolve issues
Test equipment to ensure it performs in accordance with best practices and specifications
Evaluate equipment functionality and propose continuous improvements to appropriate team for review and future consideration
Analyze customers' requirements and specifications to ensure current equipment meets their needs and or if additional equipment is needed to meet production goals
Support customers (remotely, via phone, and in person) on the operation and troubleshooting of equipment
Solve and facilitate customer service issues as they arise
When not on the road, you will assist with machine assembly, machine testing, training, quality control, documentation and factory acceptance testing assistance, shop work, as well as customer demonstrations (Demo)
Perform duties related to special projects as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Be technically inclined from a mechanical, electrical and machine/equipment automation standpoint
5 years experience in assembly and/or service of industrial equipment
Have the ability to read engineering drawings
Skills with automation and IT equipment, PLC and HMI
Excellent communication skills
Have the ability to handle delicate customer situations in a customer friendly manner
Able to communicate the process and plan of action in a calm and polite manner
Able to manage and foster a positive customer relationship
Capable of clearly and concisely articulating situations back to head office in a timely manner
Able to quickly think on your feet to come up with solutions and how you it will be implemented
Be open-minded to try new ideas for solutions with a positive attitude
Be meticulous, detail oriented and keep records of all actions performed during service calls both remote and onsite
Be resourceful when faced with new issues that have not been encountered before
Have the ability to troubleshoot effectively despite a stressful situation
Able to work with little guidance alone as well as in a team
Shows initiative, drive and willing to learn and grow with the company
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel without restrictions across USA
Valid passport and authorized to travel to Canada
Preferred
Manufacturing experience 7 years
knowledge of line packaging or related equipment
