The role involves diagnosing failures, recommending repair solutions, and performing repairs on Peterbilt vehicles while adhering to dealership and factory standards.

Responsibilities
Diagnosing failures and recommending effective repair solutions
Performing repairs precisely and efficiently, adhering to dealership and factory standards
Receiving assignments from the Service Writer/Advisor
Interacting with dealership personnel, manufacturer representatives, and customers
Mentoring less-experienced technicians
Staying informed about and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, including those from the EPA, OSHA, and DOT
Prioritizing safety in all shop and vehicle activities
Reporting any safety issues immediately and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Reporting any changes in the appearance or condition of a vehicle to department management
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
A vocational certificate or a diesel or truck repair degree is required
Four to six years of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required
Preferred
A CDL license is recommended
Preferred certifications include MX Engine, Cummins Heavy Duty, Cummins Mid-Range, Allison Transmission, or Eaton Transmission
