Responsibilities
Act as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), taking responsibility for their medical management
Conduct patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care
Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions
Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
Work closely with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care
Qualification
Required
A board-certified physician with experience in primary care and long-term care (LTC)
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively support and mentor NPs and PAs in delivering care
