Capital Improvement Technician

Fairway Construction Co., Inc. is dedicated to developing, building, and managing quality affordable housing. The Capital Improvement Technician will perform various capital improvement projects including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, while traveling extensively throughout the Columbia region.

Responsibilities

Performs capital improvement projects to include rough and trim carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, electrical, masonry, painting and janitorial related to major renovations and rehabs – Advanced
Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed
Able to drive to pick up supplies or others to complete business need
Travel Monday-Friday approximately 75% of the time. Home on the weekends
Follows safe work practices
Travels to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required

Required

Possess reliable transportation and be able to drive to company-owned locations as needed
Able to drive to pick up supplies or others to complete business need

Knowledge of building trades – Advanced
Ability to work independently and adhere to set deadlines
Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and specifications
Proven operation of equipment and tools needed for the role; Must have own hand and power tools
Must Have Current Driver's License, Vehicle, and Insurance
Must Pass Background Check and Periodic Drug Testing
Must Be Willing to Travel and Stay Overnight
