Responsibilities
Assist clients on their recovery journey to develop and accomplish goals through supportive case management and recovery services
Educate clients about recovery principles
Serve as a role model, support, and validate client experiences
Empower clients to achieve health and wellness
Provide recovery support services including coaching, mentoring, and other support to address emotional, informational, transportation needs, and other needs to support recovery goals
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
An active Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification in California with no pending disciplinary actions
Preferred
Experience working with people with dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorders (substance use and mental health disorders)
Experience in coaching
Experience in mentoring
Experience in motivational interviewing
Experience in providing outreach and recovery training
Experience in assisting with developing individualized service plans
