Mount Sinai Health System is one of the largest academic medical systems in the New York metro area, and they are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Certified to prepare medication orders and maintain accurate inventory. The role involves filling unit-dose cassettes, conducting deliveries, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities
Maintains an accurate, current census, including cassette bin labels, for all assigned areas
Maintains adequate inventory at all times
Returns reusable medications to stock before the end of the shift
Accurately fills unit-dose cassettes and performs statistical count of all doses dispensed
Conducts all required deliveries and other patient care area rounds in a timely fashion
Repackages medications as per departmental policy
Prepares parenteral products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
Prepares labels and affixes to product as required
Obtains required signatures when conducting controlled substance deliveries
Assures effective exchange of unit-dose cassettes as per established schedules
Routinely checks for and removes expired medications from inventory
Completes all required documentation
Maintains work environment in a clean, neat and orderly fashion
Conducts all required functions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
Successful completion of a technician training program, or equivalent experience (as determined by the Director)
NYS Pharm Tech registration
