Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery including CNC equipment, mills, lathes, presses, saws, conveyors, welding equipment and process heating burners. This includes working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, automated machinery, and mechanical systems
Dismantle machines to test and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment, i.e., multimeters, amp clamps, and megohmmeters
Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
Assist in the planning and installation of electrical systems, electrical apparatus, and electrical/electronic components on industrial machinery
Use powered industrial equipment including forklift, hoists, cranes, scissor/boom lifts as needed
Ability to read electrical schematics and track down electrical issues
Complete equipment Preventative Maintenance tasks per established criteria and manufacturer guidelines
Able to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of dynamic job responsibilities
Attend regularly scheduled department and safety meetings
Keep accurate records of equipment failures and repairs using a CMMS system
Able to work independently while understanding the necessity for open communication and coordination of work efforts with other employees
Understand and communicate equipment failures, determine cause and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
Actively pursues continuous improvement to meet or exceed customer needs and to further overall company goals and objectives
Responsible for understanding the Precor Safety Policy and for practicing safe work habits on the job
Qualification
Required
Education - High School Diploma or GED preferred
3-5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Valid WA Driver's License and clean driving record
PC skills including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc
Preferred
Metal fabrication and welding skills are desirable
Electrical Certificate/License/Qualified Electrician or other key Maintenance component standing, or other technical industrial training & certification preferred
