Responsibilities
Support patient care through the receipt, storage, and distribution, inventory management and procurement of medical surgical supplies and patient care equipment
Perform physical inventory of supply carts
Perform data entry of supply orders
Receive supplies, replenish and maintain stock par levels and respond to individual requests
Procure non-stock supplies, specialty equipment and fill individual equipment requests
Physically exchange supply carts, collect and data enter patient charges
Perform periodic physical inventories as directed and maintain a clean and safe workplace
Assist the Processing Technician with collection and cleaning of patient care sterile equipment on an as needed basis
Complete all other duties as assigned
Support organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation
Qualification
Required
High School degree or equivalent
A minimum of one-year experience with Central Service, Materials Management or a healthcare related field
The potential employee must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Preferred
Hospital storeroom and data entry experience
