Three Bears Alaska, Inc. is a family-owned chain of Alaskan grocery stores committed to providing quality goods and services. They are seeking a Warehouse Clerk to unload and load freight trucks, manage inventory, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Unload and load freight trucks

Receive product using scan gun, pull orders and build pallets for shipping

Keep buildings, coolers and freezers clean and organized

Follow receiving and shipping standards and practices

Organize, clean, and stock freezers and coolers daily

Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine daily operation needs

Write list of products to be brought from coolers and freezers by forklift driver for pulling orders

Use box knife to cut twine or shrink-wrap from pallet

Wrap or tie and tag pallets to be returned to steel or prepare for shipping

Stock cases on shelves and pallets once properly received

Move and position pallets of merchandise using manual and or electric pallet jack

Stack product from partial pallets onto full pallets

Identify product number on unmarked items using scan gun

Observe and ensure correct product labeling

Keep all areas free of debris and clutter

Build pallets in a manner that allows easy identification of product and able to withstand shipping

Follow all safety and security procedures

Pull loose cardboard and slip-sheets from floor

Operate manual and electric pallet jack

Rewrap loose product using shrink-wrap

Provide prompt and courteous customer service

Load products into vehicles for customers picking up will call orders

Assist drivers by pulling orders and loading trucks for deliveries

Retrieve empty, broken pallets and return them to their staging area

Load and unload freight trucks using forklift and or pallet jack, staging product pallets in assigned areas

Assist in all cleaning duties necessary to maintain desired levels of cleanliness

Assist in all areas of the warehouse as necessary

Perform other functions as necessary or assigned

Operate manual and electric pallet jack, wheeled carts, floor machine, cardboard baler, product scan gun, shrink wrap machine, wrench, screwdriver, pliers, box knife

Become proficient in the use of handheld scanners, computer, fax machine, phone, printer

Perform other functions as necessary or assigned

Required

Must be 21 years old

Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment drug test, including THC

Spots for Forklift Drivers to ensure safe retrieval of merchandise and keep people out of fall-danger zone
