Responsibilities

Perform any Quality Assurance Inspection tasks as needed in support of meeting the company quality objectives

Audit incoming materials, manufactured components, and finished goods for conformance to internal and/or customer requirements following 100% or AQL inspection, and utilizing SPC tools

Responsible for generation and storage of computer based quality related records including the maintaining of raw material and component certifications

Provide shop floor support to resolve daily quality related product and process issues

Operation of CMM / Smartscope equipment as required

Control material rejections and maintain the nonconformance report system

Maintain MSDS database and properly identify safety characteristics of incoming materials and chemicals

Review quality documentation to ensure conformance

Mentor / Train personnel on the production floor and other technicians in proper quality practices

Required

Associate degree in technical field or equivalent technical work experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel)

Ability to read and understand product drawings & GD&T fluently

Experience with usage of inspection techniques and knowledge of statistical sampling plans

Experience with quality inspection equipment including go/no go, pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc. is a plus. Training provided

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, and interact well with all levels of personnel including suppliers and customers

Ability to learn use of Coordinate Measurement Machines and SmartScopes

Knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100 Standard

Have excellent decision-making, communication and organizational skills

Be able to manage multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously and have a strong sense of urgency

Be self-motivated, focused, and detail oriented with a positive attitude
