Manages the water distribution system

Required

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science or a related field

Five years of experience in municipal or industrial wastewater treatment, laboratory operations, or wastewater system inspection

One year of experience in a supervisory capacity

Must possess and maintain a North Carolina Wastewater Treatment Plan Operator Grade II certification or higher

Must possess and maintain a Grade III Collection System Operator license or higher

Must possess and maintain a Grade A Distribution License

An official completed Halifax County Application for Employment (HR1107)

College transcripts are required to fully evaluate qualifications for this position

Criminal background check will be required prior to hiring

Pre-employment drug test will be required with negative results prior to the first day of employment

Must be a U.S. citizen or legal alien authorized to maintain employment in the United States
