Solar Technician Sypert Branch Solar Site
ENGIE North America is hiring a Solar Technician for their Sypert Branch Solar Site near Rogers, TX. The role involves repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar inverters, managing documentation, and coordinating high voltage switching activities with local utilities.

Responsibilities
Access tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar inverters
Manage documentation, update parts inventory, and submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs
Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
Work independently on-site with safety support from nearby technicians; the site team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician
Participate in an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; reside within 50 miles of the site
Qualification
Required
Minimum High School Diploma/GED or a diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/DC current, electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites, Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance
Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
