Configuration Analyst

TCOM, L.P. is seeking a Configuration Analyst to perform and manage Configuration Management activities for established programs. Responsibilities

Analyzing changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design
Preparing documentation necessary to implement the change
Reviewing engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to TCOM configuration management procedures and policies
Assist in the generating configuration status reports as required
Assist the implementation of specific areas of the Configuration Management effort including configuration identification, control. Emphasis on status accounting and audits
Maintain effective relations with program management, and functional groups
Develop a working knowledge of applicable specifications and evolving customer and TCOM requirements relating to Configuration Management
Work under supervision of the lead configuration analyst
Expertise in operating Configuration Management software tools
Generate, maintain and update Configuration Family Trees as required
Operate as a Configuration Management Change Analyst
Generate, prepare and assure completeness of data for audits and design reviews, Engineering Change Proposals, Deviations/Waivers, Revision Notices, and status accounting reports
Plan, prepare and conduct Configuration Control Board meetings for programs as required
Provide training and guidance to functional groups and individuals with correct change control procedures
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Use library or online Internet research techniques
Use technical regulations, standards, handbooks and reference documents to resolve Configuration issues
Follow Industry standards and internal design guidelines and standard practices
Evaluate workflows and recommend changes to improve the process
Maintain Configuration Management skills consistent with advances in configuration management practices and standards
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field required, or equivalent amount of education and experience
Minimum of three years' experience in Configuration Management
Application of technical knowledge in the understanding implementation of Configuration Management contractual requirements and internal TCOM procedures
Proficiency and familiarity with technical details associated with assigned work
Willingness to assume increasing levels of responsibility
Ability to communicate and interface with program management and functional groups
Understanding of and ability to research parts, process, and material standards
Expertise in operating Configuration Management software tools
Generate, maintain and update Configuration Family Trees as required
