ServingSchools is seeking a dedicated Educational Technician to join their special education team focused on Life Skills. The role involves working with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities and providing life skills instruction in a supportive environment.

Education

Responsibilities

Certification as an Educational Technician I, II, or III (as required by the position and state guidelines)
Experience working with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities in a school or structured setting
Knowledge of life skills instruction, including personal care, hygiene, communication, community access, and functional academics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with special education teachers, therapists, and families
Patience, empathy, and flexibility when working with students who have diverse and complex needs
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies
Basic technology skills for data entry and use of assistive technology
Crisis prevention and intervention training (e.g., CPI, Safety Care) preferred or willingness to be trained
