Senior Brand Manager
Sun Gro Horticulture is one of the most prominent North American horticultural companies, and they are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to develop and execute brand strategies that enhance the brand's equity and drive overall business growth. The role involves managing the brand throughout its lifecycle and collaborating with various teams to create impactful brand campaigns.

Responsibilities
Conducting market research to identify opportunities for brand growth and differentiation
Overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's value proposition to customers, distributors, and consumers
Defining and managing brand communication objectives and ensuring consistency across all channels
Analyzing competitors' brands to assess the competitive landscape and identify potential opportunities for differentiation
Providing management with brand performance reports, insights, and recommendations
Leading customer insights research to understand the needs, desires, and perceptions of the target audience
Recommending the strategic direction for the brand, including product line extensions, packaging, and promotional activities
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between brand strategy and product development, marketing, and sales efforts
Managing brand budgets and ensuring effective allocation of resources to support brand-building initiatives
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as the Senior Brand Manager must communicate with team members and other departments, upper management, and consumers of the company product
Expertise in brand management, marketing, and market analysis, with knowledge of the horticulture/agriculture/cannabis industry being a plus
Superior project management and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
A natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative
Strong Team Player who collaborates well with others
Innovation: generating and collating new ideas, prioritizing those with highest potential, and shaping the brand position
Critical skills and qualifications brand management, understanding the customer, market research, campaign development, competitive analysis, marketing strategy, sales planning, financial planning, and strategy

Normal office environment
This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in the U.S. and Canada
Tight deadlines, with extended working hours during peak periods
Capable of lifting 50 pounds
Preferred
B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of previous brand management and/or sales experience
Strong knowledge of the company's brand portfolio and the ability to recognize competitive activities in the marketplace
