Part-Time Forage Crop Systems Research Assistant

Publish several extension fact sheets as outcomes
Assist Guojie Wang with the NESARE funding application
Organizing brainstorming meetings
Project planning
Proposal construction
Support the implementation of agronomic and ecological field experiments on perennial forage crops and annual cover crops
Ensure the safe operation of specialized equipment
Collect data by measurement, sampling, and subjective assessments to evaluate forage crops
Prepare plant tissue and soil samples for lab analysis

Required

Master's degree in agronomy, animal science, plant science, soil science, biology, agriculture, bioengineering, biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field
Experience with farm equipment and fieldwork

Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
