Part-Time Forage Crop Systems Research Assistant
Penn State University is seeking a part-time research assistant for the Forage Crop Systems Laboratory within the Department of Plant Science. The role involves compiling research data, conducting analyses, and supporting agronomic field experiments on perennial forage crops.

Assist Guojie Wang with the NESARE funding application
Organizing brainstorming meetings
Project planning
Proposal construction
Support the implementation of agronomic and ecological field experiments on perennial forage crops and annual cover crops
Ensure the safe operation of specialized equipment
Collect data by measurement, sampling, and subjective assessments to evaluate forage crops
Prepare plant tissue and soil samples for lab analysis
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in agronomy, animal science, plant science, soil science, biology, agriculture, bioengineering, biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field
Experience with farm equipment and fieldwork
Valid driver's license
Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
