Responsibilities

Develop consultative relationships with potential and existing clients at every level of their organization
Identify outcome-based solutions and lead government clients to contract closure
Develop and maintain a sales plan for identifying project opportunities, successfully manage a sales pipeline and meet sales goals
Collaborate with and lead Operations team to position client for success
Perform responsibilities such as lead generation, client satisfaction, proposal development, and client acquisition
Apply strong business acumen and analytical thinking to effectively assess opportunities, weighing potential risks against rewards to make informed qualification or disqualification decisions
Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions using site/customer insights to shape strategy and pursue opportunities with successful selection through procurement channels
Utilize McKinstry’s tools and processes to support our customer relationship strategies

Required

Demonstrated history of sales success required with a history of longevity in sales roles
Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience required
Ability and willingness to travel within your state required
Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed

Preferred

Knowledge of energy performance contracting, building infrastructure systems, facility management, and energy efficiency preferred
At least two (2) years' experience in energy savings performance contracting with responsibilities for identifying leads, closing sales, and providing oversight to an Operations team preferred
Applicable organization affiliations and / or professional group associations preferred
