NEOGOV is part of the State of Colorado and is looking for a session-only Policy Analyst to provide in-depth research and analysis on various political and policy issues. The role involves tracking legislation, analyzing impacts, proposing amendments, and providing recommendations to support the organization's strategic goals during the legislative session.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on political and policy issues relevant to the caucus’s mission

Track and analyze legislation, regulations, and other policy developments related to General Assembly business

Prepare written policy memos and presentations summarizing research findings and providing policy recommendations

Identify potential opportunities and risks related to public policy

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, lobbyists, and subject matter experts

Be willing to assist staff on a variety of projects and tasks as assigned by members of the caucus

Willingness to be flexible to be in the office when House committees and floor are in session
