Summer Intern - Underwriting
Admiral Insurance Group is a leading provider of commercial lines property casualty insurance, specializing in underwriting complex commercial businesses. The Underwriting Intern will train with team members to learn about underwriting and servicing renewal accounts while participating in collaborative projects with other interns.

Responsibilities
Learn and participate in the process of underwriting and servicing of renewal accounts for the development and retention of Admiral business
Apply strong analysis skills in learning the evaluation and pricing of Admiral renewal business in accordance with service standards, objectives, and following Admiral underwriting guidelines
Participate in a collaborative group project with interns from other Admiral departments
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support our business partners
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree with a focus on Risk Management and Insurance. Other majors are encouraged to apply
GPA of 3.0 and above is required
Rising Junior or Senior students welcome
Interest in enhancing classroom learning through practical career-related work experience within the industry
Career interest in insurance, Claims/Excess and Surplus Lines
Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Preferred
Prior work experience is preferred
