They are seeking a Cytotechnologist to prepare, screen, and evaluate cytologic specimens, ensuring quality and accuracy of laboratory results while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves performing bedside tissue adequacy assessments and providing cytology services at both Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.

Responsibilities

The Cytotechnologist prepares, screens, and evaluates cytologic specimens to detect cellular abnormalities for diagnostic interpretation

Ensures quality and accuracy of laboratory results in accordance with departmental procedures, CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission standards

Performs bedside tissue adequacy assessments for bronchoscopy and interventional radiology procedures

Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements and demonstrates service excellence in interactions with patients, providers, and staff

This position provides cytology services at both Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center
