Project Engineer - Underground Utility Contractor

ZARRELLCO is an established and growing heavy civil contractor specializing in dry utility infrastructure. They are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the project management team on large-scale dry utility projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Assist project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
Review contracts, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
Prepare submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
Track materials, equipment, and progress in the field
Support quality control and safety initiatives
Provide problem-solving and technical support throughout the project lifecycle

Required

1 or more years of experience in construction- specifically with underground utility projects
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, or similar)
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
