Responsibilities
Manage a team of software engineers and foster career growth plans and continual learning for team members
Design and drive internal methodologies and process improvements shaping Software development process utilizing best in class practices and technologies. Key processes include: Agile (Scrum), Software maturity and quality, Versioning and Scope control, Unit testing, code analysis
Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport and grow consensus with peers and other groups
Manage and execute software development projects from conception to implementation
Contribute to the product engineering planning process by providing technical requirements and scope estimates for proposed initiatives and product features
Supervise resource allocation to assure attainment of apt business and personnel development goals
Perform closely with Engineers, Service Team Members and Project Management throughout department to influence product development
Maintains progress reports to allow management to monitor projects
Complies with Quality Management System requirements in accordance with ISO9001
Mentor & coach, the software team
Qualification
Required
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a senior developer/lead role
Some supervisory experience preferred
Strong understanding of the software product development cycle
Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and implementing new or improved ideas
Solid technical background in creative product development
Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Ability to understand verbal and/or written directions and instructions
Creative, resourceful, analytical, strong team player
Highly motivated self starter with customer focus and energy to drive successful completions
Ability to effectively communicate clearly with other department members
Strong object oriented development background
Working experience with C#, .NET framework and SQL server required
Strong leadership and management skills
Strong in organizing and managing projects
Initiative and teamwork
A proven record of successful implementation of software applications
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science and/or relevant experience is preferred
C++ experience would be beneficial
