Manager 1, Metrology & Mechl Inspection
AGC Electronics America is seeking a Manager for their Metrology & Mechanical Inspection team. This role is responsible for managing the metrology and inspection activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes, and providing technical guidance to the team.

Responsibilities
Maintains integrity and control of Quality Management System; ensures defined quality standards are met
Provides effective departmental administration and management of employees, equipment and resources
Administers department within Quality Systems ISO 9001:2015
Maintains accounting controls by recommending and preparing policies and procedures
Conducts product and process analyses, identifying problems, root causes, and Corrective and Preventive Actions
Provided oversight and coordination of measurement and calibration in manufacturing and inspection environments
Effectively manages department throughput, productivity, and staffing levels; ensures on-time delivery
Provides technical guidance for the calibration and maintenance of all measurement instruments; ensures proper use and care for precision measuring equipment
Works with internal and external stakeholders to implement, evaluate and sustain continuous quality improvement efforts
Develop, improve, and maintain standards for metrology and inspection strategies; ensures implementation best practices
Successfully trains team to utilize proper inspection practices, methods, and skills. Ensures the use of defined procedures, that product specifications are met, and schedules are adhered to
Continuously monitors employee performance and related ERP data output
Provides timely and effective management, coaching, and professional development support to direct reports
Regularly imparts knowledge of safety standards and guidelines; ensures direct reports consistent application of safety practices
Creates team schedules. Delegates tasks appropriately; ensures proper workflows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Quality, Metrology, CMM Programing, and Troubleshooting
Working knowledge of advanced metrology tools and gauges
Minimum 5 years' experience applying GD&T practices
Working knowledge of Quality Systems ISO 9001:2015 and compliance
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in quality management/manufacturing environment
Advanced CMM Programing skills
Ability to effectively communicate technical findings to cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience providing QMS program support; audit, policy enforcement/development, process improvement
GDTP and/or CQE Certification
PC-DMIS experience
