The Digital Manufacturing Engineering team is seeking an intern to contribute to the development of a manufacturing automation platform that enhances efficiency across Rivian's factories.

Responsibilities

Contributing and expanding upon your software skills towards building libraries of modular code and templates for various automation components
Leading our push for code organization, structure, documentation, maintainability, and reusability
Developing full stack features within code generation tools
Assisting in the creation of user-friendly HMI and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) screens for equipment operation and troubleshooting. Including optimizing data acquisition and transfer
Designing software to interface between manufacturing equipment and supervisory systems like the MES

Qualification

Required

Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university
Ability to work within a dynamic team and collaborating with cross-functional teams on various technical projects
Understanding developing software via object-oriented programming paradigm
Understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, etc
Understanding of Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, etc
