Greet guests promptly and warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Manage reservations and walk-in seating to maximize guest satisfaction and dining room efficiency
Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of server assignments
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand, lobby, and entrance areas
Answer phones courteously, manage reservations through the system, and provide accurate information on restaurant hours, menu, and special events
Communicate effectively with the service team and kitchen staff to ensure timely guest flow and seating
Handle guest inquiries, requests, or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary
Assist with service needs such as setting tables, refilling water, or supporting servers during peak periods
Ensure adherence to hotel standards, safety regulations, and brand service guidelines
Promote hotel amenities, events, and loyalty programs as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as needed
Preferred
Prior hostess, guest service, or front-of-house experience in a hotel or upscale dining environment preferred
Proficiency with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms, or equivalent) preferred
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
