Responsibilities
Contractors are required to support NGA's Airfield Foundation Data (AFD) program by extracting specific airfield feature data in accordance with NGA data and product specifications
Activities involve data acquisition, data evaluation, data analysis, data entry, data application, quality control/assurance and product finishing database scripting, quality control/assurance and product finishing
Contractors are required to support NGA's Vertical Obstructions (VO) program by extracting specific feature data in accordance with NGA data and product specifications
Activities involve data acquisition, data evaluation, data analysis, data entry, data application, quality control/assurance and product finishing
Qualification
Required
Basic knowledge and understanding of airfield infrastructures such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC tower, and hangars, to create AFD products
1-3 years of feature collection (points, lines, and areas), feature validation and finishing
The ability to understand, update, and draft technical documentation in support of mission progression
Basic knowledge and understanding of airfield infrastructures such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC tower, and hangars, to create VO products
1-3 years' experience of feature collection (points, lines, and areas), attribution, feature validation and product finishing
The ability to understand, update, and draft technical documentation in support of mission progression
Preferred
Understanding of basic geospatial principles such as coordinate systems (horizontal and vertical), elevation models, and accuracy values
Demonstrated knowledge of imagery, products, processes, and sensors
Knowledge of and experience with understanding, reading, and writing XML
