The Anesthesia Technician role involves providing technical and clinical support to Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment and assisting with patient preparation for procedures.

Responsibilities

Provides technical and clinical support to Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists by ensuring availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment and supplies

The anesthesia technician will assist with the placement of invasive catheters and preparation of the patient for induction and transport under the direction of the Anesthesiologist, CRNA and/or RN

Reading and numerical competency

BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting

Able to read and write on 12th grade level
