Responsibilities
Coordinate communication between unit/department staff and other departments of the organization
Transcribe physician orders by computer order entry or by utilization of appropriate forms
Perform other clerical duties using computer desktop applications
Relay messages to appropriate personnel
Maintain the medical record
Observe cardiac monitors for rhythms and report any changes to licensed personnel
Perform various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or equivalent
Successful completion of Basic EKG course and identification of cardiac rhythms examination
BLS required in the orientation period
