Application Engineer I

As an Application Engineer I, you will provide technical application support, quote special product designs, and present training programs for customers while working closely with the product support team.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to product support team on technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external salespeople in the areas of product selection and application
Develop and communicate solutions for basic product applications under direct supervision
Gather information and provide resolution to complex field problems. May include travel for onsite support
Understand and interpret industry codes and standards to determine product needs and requirements
Assist with highlighting and communicating key selling points of our current products for delivery to our sales teams and customers
Identify opportunities for process improvement and work to implement where applicable
Become familiar with the competitor's products and apply this knowledge to the company's advantage
Organize and present trainings to internal and external customers both onsite and offsite
May assist with offsite events including planning, set-up, and basic customer interactions
Develop awareness of industry related associations and their purpose
May provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports
Basic understanding of rep network and sales channel
Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates
Document service calls to record data on product questions and field issues
Minimum travel is required

Required

0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required
4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering required
