Responsibilities
Preparing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control system network diagrams, control panel wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and installation details
Supervision and mentorship of less experienced staff
Coordinating with the other disciplines (process/mechanical, structural, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and site civil)
Performing quality reviews of BIM models, Revit families, and CAD based files used in the production of contract documents
Inspection, testing, and approve of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of water/wastewater or industrial process instrumentation and equipment
Strong organizational and communication skills
7-12 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering and design and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering are required
BS/BE Engineering
Must have a PE License, or ability to obtain within one year of employment
Preferred
Multiple years of experience performing I&C design for public sector water/wastewater clients
Understanding of processes and equipment for various water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems
PLC/HMI configuration/programming experience
Experience mentoring junior engineers, designers, and other staff
Experience communicating and coordinating with clients
Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Plant 3D
