Alignment Technician - Full-Time

Long-Lewis Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Alignment Technician to join their Extreme Auto Design team. The technician will be responsible for performing precision wheel alignments and handling related suspension, steering, and tire services.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate four-wheel alignments using alignment machines and manufacturer specifications
Diagnose and repair issues related to vehicle suspension, steering components, and tire wear
Install and balance tires and wheels as needed
Replace or repair steering and suspension components including control arms, tie rods, ball joints, shocks, struts, and bushings
Road-test vehicles to ensure proper alignment and handling
Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and other team members
Maintain alignment and tire equipment in clean and functional condition
Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and customer expectations

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in automotive alignments or suspension/steering repair
Proficiency in using computerized alignment equipment (e.g., Hunter, John Bean, etc.)
Understanding of vehicle suspension, steering, and wheel/tire systems
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Able to stand, bend, squat, and work in various positions throughout the day
Comfortable working in a shop environment with occasional exposure to loud noises, dust, and chemicals

Preferred

ASE Certification(s) a plus but not required
