Responsibilities
Build strong working relationships with clients
Generate sales leads by cold calling and follow up on all sales leads
Responsible for weekly sales performance reports to the sales manager
Be able to manage a sales territory and communicate sales information generated in the territory to corporate staff
Troubleshoot and understand pump applications and sizing
This ideal candidate is motivated to meet new customers and help solve their pump performance problems daily
Must have good customer service skills, must be able to operate with minimal supervision, and communicate efficiently and effectively with clients and WPS personnel
Should have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
A clean and valid driver’s license is required
Must be able to pass a random drug test
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience in the pumps or related equipment market
Candidate must be able to travel in and around the central/north Mississippi, eastern Arkansas, and western Tennessee region
Candidate must be a self-motivator and work with minimal supervision
Candidate must be open minded, be able to use critical thinking skills to solve technical problems and utilize problem solving strategies with difficult customers or situations
Must have good customer service skills, must be able to operate with minimal supervision, and communicate efficiently and effectively with clients and WPS personnel
Should have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
A clean and valid driver's license is required
Must be able to pass a random drug test
Preferred
Water well and/or submersible pump knowledge is a plus
Plumbing/piping products knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of our type of product lines is a plus, but not required
