Responsibilities
Developing innovative solutions for efficiently syncing health data across multiple Apple platforms
Designing and tuning features for use by millions of users on power and performance constrained devices
Designing and delivering comprehensive test suites in collaboration with our quality assurance and engineering teams
Designing logical, scalable, forward-thinking APIs that serve our developers’ needs
Participating in peer review of architecture, API, and individual software changes
Collaborating with and advising other teams across Apple, including Design, Privacy, and Security, as well as domain experts in health and fitness
Qualification
Required
BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals
2 years of experience working in Objective-C, Swift, C++ or similar high level programming languages
Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
Experience in object-oriented architecture and design
Understanding of systems-level concepts like multi-threading and interprocess communication
Experience with debugging tools and performance tuning
Experience delivering libraries, frameworks or APIs
Knowledge of iOS programming and one or more Apple technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch, CloudKit, or XPC Activity/Services
Strong communication skills, including ability to collaborate in a diversity of backgrounds and experiences
Willingness to learn and improve, and also mentor and support other team members
Highly organized, maintaining patience and composure to effectively operate within ambiguity
Preferred
Experience with distributed systems design and development
Experience with SQL and database technologies
Familiarity with Fitness, Wellness or Medical concepts
