Senior Project Manager for the CORE Kidney Care Program
UCLA Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide kidney care initiatives that improve the quality, access, and outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease. The role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and governance of strategic projects that bridge clinical care, research, and operations across UCLA Health.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor kidney care program initiatives including project roadmaps, timelines, deliverables, and resources. Lead governance meetings and prepare executive updates for leadership
Supervise research and data activities, ensure compliance with IRB and HIPAA regulations, and collaborate with informatics teams on performance metrics. Support publication and grant proposal development
Identify and implement strategies to enhance care models, operational workflows, and patient experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
Supervise and mentor project staff, provide guidance and professional development, and foster a collaborative and inclusive environment
Serve as liaison to physicians, researchers, and external partners. Ensure compliance and alignment with quality initiatives across UCLA Health. Coordinate governance committees and align program efforts with funding and research priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or related field or equivalent required
Master's degree (MPH, MHA, MS) required
Minimum five years of experience in healthcare program management in Nephrology, including at least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Strong background in statistical data-driven program management, including metrics development, reporting, and analysis
Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience managing regulatory compliance for clinical programs or research initiatives (IRB, HIPAA, CMS requirements)
Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and maintain alignment across multiple stakeholders
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to prepare reports for executive audiences
Experience providing coaching, feedback, or performance management for junior staff or research teams
Preferred
PhD preferred
Experience with project management platforms, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and statistical software (SAS/R) preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
Proficiency in manuscript, publication, and grant proposal development, including drafting sections and coordinating with investigators
