Responsibilities

Own and lead on all Ethena Platform Reliability and SRE, maintain uptime for critical systems and implement comprehensive monitoring (Prometheus, Datadog) to reduce Mean Time to Detect

Implement robust security practices (zero-trust models, vulnerability scanning), integrate DevSecOps, and ensure compliance with standards like SOC 2 and GDPR

Enhance CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment frequency

Define, develop and execute the infrastructure strategy, while building and scaling the Platform team. Mentoring direct reports and onboarding new engineers

Implement cost monitoring and optimise resource allocation to reduce overall infrastructure costs without compromising performance

Improve developer happiness and productivity by automating repetitive tasks and providing self-service tools

Design, deploy, and manage highly available, low-latency infrastructure for blockchain ecosystems, and reduce Mean Time to Recover from incidents

Required

Extensive hands-on experience in platform engineering, including cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), IaC tools, containerisation, and monitoring systems

Must have the ability to contribute as an individual contributor while leading the team

Demonstrated initiative in identifying gaps, driving improvements, and owning outcomes without heavy external guidance

Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate and prevent issues

Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, with excellent accountability, prioritisation, and cross-functional collaboration

Ability to develop and execute long-term infrastructure strategies that align with business objectives and enable scalable growth

An experienced mentor, who's built high-performing teams, with a focus on fostering technical growth and a collaborative culture

Clear and effective communicator, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and align teams around shared goals
