Electronics Technician I

iAutomation is a company specializing in automation solutions. They are seeking an Electronics Technician I to wire and build electrical control panels and interpret schematics while working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement
Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material
Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments
Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc
Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering
Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
Willingness to work overtime as needed

Required

Minimum of a High School Education
2+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams
An understanding of electrical currents
Highly motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks
Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panel is a must
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds
Frequent use of hand tools
Long periods of standing
Safety shoes are always required throughout the manufacturing plant

Preferred

Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired
