North Carolina State University is seeking a Temporary Event Technician to assist in the operations of University Theatre venues. The role involves backstage duties, front of house management, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of patrons during events.

Responsibilities

Backstage duties as assigned, including but not limited to lighting operation (lighting consoles, follow spotlights), sound reinforcement ( FOH console operation, audio system setup), load-in and load-out assistance, occasional system and facilities maintenance

Front of house technicians: position will serve as house manager, responsible for coordinating all Front-Of-House ( FOH ) operations in the Theatre spaces. Specific responsibilities include training and supervising ushers; communicating with stage managers and technical supervisors during and in advance of performances; and ensuring the safety of all patrons using theatre spaces

Required

Desire to work with a variety of campus departments, student organizations and rental clients

Preferred

Experience with ETC lighting control systems (EOS Family) and intelligent lighting

Live audio mixing experience on analog and digital mixing consoles

Customer service and public relations
