Responsibilities

Responsible for developing, operating and maintaining the hydraulic models within the Engineering Department
Hydraulic Modeler will assist in the design and management of a variety of capital projects including tanks, pump stations, wastewater, and water main replacement
Responsible for developing analysis and reports to be provided to regulators, internal or external customers as required
Field work at various facilities
Prepare cost estimates
Prepare summaries of model results
The incumbent supports Veolia's commitment to safety by complying with the programs regarding health, safety and protection of the environment
The position demonstrates safe work practices, takes part in safety meetings, and advises supervisor of any non-conforming conditions

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or similar
1 to 5 years of hydraulic modeling experience
Knowledge of the principals of hydraulic modeling
Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, WaterGEMs, and ESRI suite of software
Knowledge of data collection, manipulation, and use
Excellent analytical, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
Abilities to set daily priorities and work schedules
Ability to interface with all levels of staff and management
Exercise discretion and independent judgment
Professional Engineering License or EIT certificate is a plus
